Melanie Hammer, founder of Priceless Priorities, was born and raised near the beautiful Brainerd Lakes area in Minnesota where she enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors fishing, snowmobiling, golfing, hunting, and hiking with her family.

During high school, Melanie was an avid athlete participating in cross country running, gymnastics, and golf. She also enjoyed playing the flute, singing in the choir, and learning Spanish.

She attended Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN where she earned an Associates of Arts degree. She played on the school's golf team, earning a spot in the top 10 of the All American Women's golf team in the spring of 2003. Melanie was then awarded a golf scholarship to Western Illinois University, a Division 1 golf program. There she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology and minor in Botany. Traveling to play beautiful courses while observing wildlife in it's natural environment made for special memories.

After graduating in 2007, Melanie earned an internship at the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls, SD. She became part of the animal care team where her love for birds and big cats grew. The zoo's educational team chose her to organize a traveling education team to bring the zoo to individuals who may not have otherwise been able to visit. After 5 years, Melanie choose to change career paths and graduate from the Hy-Vee University, affording her the opportunity to learn more about business from within a successful company.

During this transition, Melanie met and married her soulmate James, founder of Equity Green Inc. lawn care and landscaping company. They have 3 beautiful children; Epiphany, Aurora, and Ethyn and two adorable pets; dog Chloe and cat Lucky, that make the family whole. The Hammers are proud of the success of their lawn care business and look forward to the new opportunity in Priceless Priorities.
